This is a large (72"x76"x2") painting of an approaching storm over turquoise tropical water. Intense cloud formations over the Florida peninsula inspired this painting. The water isn't really turquoise there but I've seen unusual lighting conditions in person and photographs of tropical turquoise waters. This painting is thematic. I often paint scenes of natural forces as well as the unknown. It is an imaginary place since it started as a completely abstract painting beginning with a couple layers of acrylic stain.
